| Katherine did another tour of Asia, this time Vietnam and Laos, and she stayed a couple of days with her friend Alan who is on his way to Australia. |  |

Helen was our first guest in Laos, and also the first to have visited us at both our Asian residences! Apparently Indochine provides a pleasant retreat from China... We had met up briefly in Luang Prabang the week before and then Helen spent a few nights with us in Vientiane on her way back to London after 2 years in China. |
Katherine (John's sister) and Guy came to stay with us for a few days during their whirlwind tour of Asia. We had fun visiting the Bhudda Park, eating at the floating restaurants and relaxing on the banks of the Mekong.
